What if I don’t “need” something but just “want” something?

That’s actually ok.  You’d just have to be honest about it and explain in your post or

correspondence that it’s more of a desire than a need, and it will be up to the person(s)

offering the giveaway(s) to decide whether or not to give you what you are seeking.
